Daytour to Langisjór

This tour leads us to the magnificent area of Langisjór. On the way there we will stop at Hólaskjól (hike to the waterfall) and Eldgjá. At Langisjór we will drive a circle with several stops (among them at Skjælingar) and some walks.





Hiking shoes and rain gear are necessary.

Departure: 9 am petrol station Kirkjubæjarklaustur

Daytour to Lava caves

This tour leads us into the lava field Skaftáreldahraun. We will have a closer look into four caves and see also lava channels. Before leaving the area we will make a hike trough the lava field to an impressive waterfall (5-8 km, depending on weather).



Good hiking shoes, rain gear and gloves are necessary. We hike and walk over rough terrain. For exploring the caves it is necessary to be able to crawl on all fours at some parts. The tour is not recommended for children younger than 12. Helmets and flashlights will be provided.
